MAKERPOINT ACQUIRES THE ACTIVITIES OF CARDS 3D PRINTING SOLUTIONS, STRENGTHENING ITS POSITION IN THE BENELUX

Arnhem/Best, August 3rd. 2023 – cards PLM Solutions (part of Emixa) and MakerPoint have agreed to the acquisition of cards 3D Printing Solutions, a business unit within cards PLM Solutions, by MakerPoint. The combination of the two leading digital fabrication solution providers in the Benelux will provide customers in industry, education and healthcare a stronger partner for their 3D printing and 3D scanning products and services. 

Mark Burghoorn, sales manager at cards 3D Printing Solutions, will join the MakerPoint sales team as sales engineer. MakerPoint will transfer its activities in the south of the country to the former cards 3D Printing Solutions location at De Dieze 24G in Best. From this location in the heart of the Brainport region MakerPoint will provide application support, demonstration and sales of its leading 3D printer and 3D scanner brands. The MakerPoint services team is available for application engineering, training and maintenance & repair services.

Effective August 1, MakerPoint has acquired cards 3D Printing Solutions from cards PLM Solutions. This allows us to become an even better partner for 3D printing and 3D scanning products and services. The teams at cards 3D Printing Solutions and MakerPoint have now merged and will integrate the various activities in the near future. 

What does this mean for me as a customer?  

  • The teams at cards 3D Printing Solutions and MakerPoint have merged and will continue as MakerPoint from now on. Mark Burghoorn from cards 3D Printing Solutions will join the sales team as Sales Engineer. 
  • Orders will be shipped as usual from the company's headquarters in Arnhem. 
  • The central phone number +31 (0)85 018 7407 and the MakerPoint email addresses will remain the same.  

MakerPoint Best

The much larger location of cards 3D Printing Solutions will continue as MakerPoint Best. This location will also provide services such as training, maintenance, and repairs. MakerPoint Eindhoven will therefore cease to exist in the near future.
